FISH FISH :D

Wassup peeps! Been some time.. Sorry but i've been busy.. Well just now i wanted to try my external flash on my aquarium since i read that would look much more awesome than using the built in.. Well i try and was amazed :D only problem is it's not easy to focus under those dark conditions and there were reflections, so many reflections, ruining many photos :( Well here are some that was taken just now. Enjoy ;)

Nikon Malaysia's 10th Anniversary!!!

Recently went to Nikon Malaysia's 10th Anniversary which was held from 31 March to 3 April at Mid Valley Convention Centre.. Quite an interesting event as there were alot of stuff there to try and see... A few D7000s equipped with different lenses and three N lenses to try.. Besides that there were the D3 which was cut in half O.O amazingly beautiful :D My friend even challenged me to shoot the models.. Felt shy at first but then after the first snap.. I couldn't stop XDD Unfortunately the lighting was not good and i had to use a low shutter speed which contributed to alot of unusable photos due to handshake >:(

Here are some shots I took :D

High Dynamic Range!!

Sorry for not updating this blog.. I couldn't upload my photos from my memory card since the lappy is servicing... So today I was walking around my house and wondered about HDR, I got excited and snapped a few photos with subjects i think look suitable for HDR. I snapped them in RAW format but i didnt have Photomatix so I just used HDR toning in PS CS5. I have no experience what so ever on this so I'm not sure wether im doing it correctly or not. Anyways here are the photos, Comments and critiques are most welcomed. :D

Black and White window

After my chemistry exam today i went home and just took out my camera, looked outside and tried some B&W shooting and i found that this window was the perfect subject. Took it, was happy with it above the rest of B&W photos i took from the window. One bad thing is that the subject has an ugly reflection of the window where im standing =( Then i uploaded it into my computer, added some vignetting effect and bumped up the contrast a little with PS CS5. Then I added my watermark ;D The first time i actually used the grunge effect lol...

Old Photography Equipment

Got bored so I wanted to try photographing some objects and I thought my dad's old photog equipment would be great subjects. the setup was simple, I just grab a few sheets of A4 paper and lay them out on a table beside the window. The window provided natural sunlight so I did not use my flash. They were all taken with my Nikon D3100 and 18-55 VR II with around 50mm as the focal length and f/5.6 aperture. Enjoy ;D

Here's the link for the full set on flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/legomaster/sets/72157626025856769/

My Photoblog ;D

I normally use flickr for photo-uploading because of the awesome quality compared to facebook... But now my 200 photos limit are gonna be up soon so I was wondering should I pay that $25 per year. Minutes later, it hit me... I could open a blog and put ALL my photos inside without having to pay a single cent! I got this idea after visiting another photoblog. I hope blogger will not have bad photo quality :D

And a little introduction to my photography journey...
I am currently 15 and I had the interest of photography like last year (2010) when I started to madly spammed the shutter button of my dad's Olympus FE-360. After a few months using it and seeing my other friends getting a DSLR, I vowed to get one of my own too. Finally on the 31st of December 2010, I got my D3100 kit but I had to bleed out for half of its price. It was worth it I believe. Now I aim to get myself a Tamron SP 90, Crumpler 6MDH and other photography equipment like flash, backgrounds, wireless shutter release etc. But first I'll have to try out my macro skill by using the reverse mount method, I plan to get one soon enough :)
So far this is my equipment:
- Nikon D3100
- AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II
- SIGMA UV filter
- keep TR-51 Tripod
- Nikon leather bag

As always the more the merrier so I hope to add more to this list in the distant future ;D

Thanks and enjoy my PhotoBlog!
